Frequently Asked Questions

  • We’d love for you to arrive by Friday, August 14, so you have time to soak in the beauty of New Mexico. From Albuquerque, the drive to Taos takes about 2-3 hours depending on your route. Join us that evening for a casual welcome party at Hotel Willa at 7:30 PM, with drinks, light bites, and desserts.

  • The closest major airport is Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ), about a 2.5-hour drive away. Santa Fe Regional (SAF) is a bit closer at roughly 1.5 hours. We recommend renting a car, as it’s the easist way to get around Taos.

On the wedding day (August 15), we'll have shuttles running between Hotel Willa and The Stakeout. The first shuttle leaves Hotel Willa at 3:15 PM, and the final shuttle picks up and drops off at The Stakeout at 3:45 PM. The drive between the two is about 10–15 minutes. Return shuttles run from 8:00 PM until 11:00 PM, bringing everyone back to Hotel Willa.

You're also welcome to drive yourself, as there's plenty of parking at The Stakeout. And if you'd like the shuttle to pick you up from a different hotel, just let us know in the RSVP form on our website.

  • Hotel Willa is our main wedding hotel. It hosts Friday's welcome party and runs the wedding-day shuttles, so it's the easiest spot for getting to events and transportation. Nearby hotels and vacation rentals are also great options.

  • Friday, August 14: Welcome party at Hotel Willa, 7:30 PM (casual, all guests invited)

  • Saturday's ceremony and reception is formal attire.

For Friday's welcome party, come as dressy or casual as you'd like — we just recommend bringing layers, as it gets chilly in the evenings. Taos in mid-August is warm and sunny during the day, often in the low 80s°F, with cool evenings that can drop into the 50s.

  • Please RSVP by July 10th using the card included in your invitation, or online through our website — just hit the red button at the top of the page. Let us know if you have any dietary restrictions so we can plan accordingly, and if you'd like the shuttle to pick you up from a hotel other than Hotel Willa.

  • Yes! Children are welcome to celebrate with us — we just ask that you let us know how many little ones are coming when you RSVP so we can prepare accordingly.

  • Mid-August in Taos means warm, sunny days and cool, crisp evenings — expect highs in the low-to-mid 80s°F and nights dropping into the low 50s, so the temperature swing after sunset is real. It's also monsoon season in northern New Mexico, which can bring quick afternoon showers that often clear into stunning sunsets and starry skies. Keep an eye on the forecast as we get closer to the date!

  • For exploring Taos on Friday or during the day Saturday, think comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and light layers. For the wedding, bring a formal outfit you feel great in — and if you have cowboy boots, those are always welcome! Don't forget a swimsuit too, there's a pool at Hotel Willa and plenty of time to relax.

  • Yes! Let us know in the RSVP form and we'll help you coordinate a shuttle to pick you up from the airport and drop you off directly at Hotel Willa.
